So, I'm not much of a parade lover. In fact, you could say that I don't like them at all. And when
Aaron and I were tossing around ideas for a Saturday shoot and the hot air balloon launch came up, I couldn't help but imagine a parade-like experience. And then Heidi mentioned that she thought the Darth Vader Balloon was going to be there. "The what?" Exactly. Turns out it's a big old thing:

It was so worth it.

That's so awesome! My nephews were there today too, and they got to take a ride in it!
Oh my gosh! How could kids not be scared by that thing-- Maybe it's just us older folks?
Man, I really did miss out.
DL - to ride in the Darth Vader Balloon would be to achieve nerdvana.
The DVB entourage was almost as funny as seeing a giant floating Vader head in the sky. They had pretty much the entire Imperial Fleet represented - even the Death Star gunner guy. Just walking around, keeping an eye on things. Hilarious.
